I would like to learn about the Asahi Kasei Group's CSR activities.   I would like to find out about the Asahi Kasei Group's past business performance. The Asahi Kasei Group conducts a wide range of activities to contribute to all levels of society, including environmental and safety activities, community contribution activities, and sports activities. Up until FY2005, the Asahi Kasei Group focused on strengthening its corporate structure through a shift to a “Group Company/Holding Company” system, in order to achieve “selective diversification.” As a result, we have achieved profitability in all businesses, and successfully improved the company's financial structure. Now, the Group has implemented a management plan covering the period up to FY2010, and is investing its full efforts into “Expanding global business” and “further developing domestic business.” Last year, the Group posted record highs in both sales and operating profits.
